The 3rd Annual Classic went down under not totally ideal skies but mother nature still had our back and delivered good calm (minus rollers late in the day) water for the 40 competitors out supporting and having fun on Okanagan Lake. This Wake Classic welcome guys into the event for the first time ever at a Radgalz event, and we had some young 13 year old boyz from Vernon area attempting advanced level tricks such as back rolls and totally making the older guys in the comp feel like they were going to be shown up by these mini’s. On the galz side we had our youngest competitor lil Molly Ashely only 8 and NEW Radgalz Team rider Britany Mateluna only 9 yrs old both out stomping surface 180s and attempting massive wake jumps. In the girls advanced category, Carly Newell (also a Radgalz Wake Coach) won first with a very clean run of grab 180s, grabs with mad style, and almost landed a backside 3. In the guys Advanced category we were stoked to have Carter Moore, a very talented rider/coach with Untied Wake School out stomping every wakeboard trick we all wish we could do, which won him 1st in the Guyz Open category. Saturday night we hosted a super fun mid-event after party at a local club (Level Nightclub) and had Fly DJS (an all girls DJ crew) J-girl spinning beats while many of the event attendee’s and many other Radgalz supporter danced/ partied and enjoyed some product toss outs. Sunday saw rainy sky’s but a rad throw down of a wakeskating comp where up and comer Jordon Hooper stomped huge pop shuvits, which won her first place and best trick overall in the girls comp. Following was wakesurfing where we had over 20 competitors and had awesome wake surf crew from Oyama out sporting their special crew ts and they ripped up the surf. Liz Allardice of the Oyama Wake Crew WON the galz surf comp for the 2nd year in a row! Following the comp we held the awards show and awarded prizes for all podium finishes and $150 CASH purse to the winner in the OPEN wakeboard Categories, as well and all the competitor walked away with a door prizes from our ultra RAD SPONSORS : BILLABONG, HYPERLITE, and Deviate Boardshop, so the comp ended on a rad note (obviously)!!

All in all It was a a GREAT (but went by way too fast) wake school season and Classic event with a great turn out of positive and supporting wake riders and parents, and staying true to this years school message and event mission to ride in the name of PEACE LOVE AND PROGRESS!
